The Tartan Viking - it all begins with an idea…
I’m Andrew Forrester, Originally from Scotland, and now living in Limburg, Netherlands. I turned my skills as an engineer into hand-crafting unique items from sustainable wood, with personalisation, artistic designs and logos expertly finished using modern technology.
I started out with a very small run of cufflinks made from 100 year-old French Oak recovered from a local memorial that was being refurbished. The cufflinks were presented to the benefactors of the monument.
I also commit a lot of my time to a local charity which is very dear to me.
The Mackenzie’s Dreamland Foundation is a small but important charity, dedicated to the support of children affected by cancer. They provide strength and encouragement to the kids, their parents and families during and after their treatment.
Amongst other things, they provide dream boxes, personalized wooden boxes (hand made by me) tailored to the child and filled with nice mementoes designed to promote calm and happy thoughts during a very dark time. I give my time free of charge to the Mackenzie’s Dreamland, and the materials are donated from local suppliers.
